Year 1951...the first steps taken in construction industry became a foundation of a big formation; Doğuş Group.

Year 2005...On 22nd December 2005 Doğuş Group and General Electric Consumer Finance (GECF) have signed strategic alliance agreement in the frame of equal partnership. According to the agreement GECF deserved equal partnership right by acquiring %25.5 of the equity for $1.555 billion. Ferit Faik Şahenk continues to be the chairman and Ergun Özen to be Garanti Bank’s General Manager.

GECF is one of the six main branches of General Electric Corporation(GE), world’s one of the biggest companies. GE has a credit rate of AAA with its almost $675 billion of total assets and $350 billion of market value. GECF is experienced in store credit cards, consumer loans, debit cards, automobile loans and leasing, mortgage, business travel and spending cards, debt consolidation, loan insurance and many other financial products. GE and Garanti expands their new product and service capabilities as a result of combination of GE’s power and global business knowhow and Garanti’s Turkey and region knowhow.
